A short comic I made for OHOHO's comic zine contest on the subject of slavic folklore and mythology. This story is about lady Kuga (the Plague in translation from Croatian), which is usually described as a woman of indeterminate age dressed in white and with long uncombed hair. She goes from village to village and likes being clean, so if you offered her a bath and some soap she would spare the village from the plague. The only people that could see her were Subotnjaci - people born on a saturday with special mystical powers (subota is saturday in translation). There are some other details about her too and she has several names used throughout balkan folklore but this is the essence of her character.
Thanks for reading!
